Poetry Pg 11
Chopin
Chopin dear love
whose lithe and light
touches to piano chords
in delicate shapes
of bronze sunlight
sweep across
the grand scales
strumming through
the wind-swept day
at play
on piano keys
colored as black and white bars
dancing
to heavenly tunes
giving birth
from the works of God
in accord
with His majestic touch
to light the night
against delicate and soft
composing preludes
to which masterful pieces
waltz
in candlelit rays
sweeping my room womb
from where was born
a song comprising
sharp tempos
light melodies
with swift movements
and sweet touches of stringed overtones
playing lightly beside one another
in harmonious delight
rising inside
where ebb tides ride
on waves bathed in sunny days
sometimes haunting
and sad
sensitive and melodically melancholy
soft and strong
passionate notes
written in the stars
to make the heavens smile
on the blue night
as polonaise phrases
strike in sharp and deep sounds
of hearts pounding
against the pinned breast plate
to open the window gate
and free the flood waters
which fill my soul with the essence
of life in twilight years
to taste and see
God's orchestral hand
in the presence of your spirit
welled with the Master's plan
to bring to the land
the brilliant technique
of dear Frederic's
gifted light
masterfully planted
where solitude
gives voice to the longing
calls of the robin song
from far away hills
and give flight
to weary souls
to lie awhile
to be still
in the midst of creation's
creation
of you and me.
